Go Time

Responding to Hurricane Harvey

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”  And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8)

We are still in need of our volunteers to answer the question “Who will we send and who will go for us?”

Below is a list of the two call-outs we are looking to fill.  Travel costs for both of these call-outs is covered.

Galveston, Texas
October 26-November 18
Feeding about 100 volunteers doing clean up
If you have not been on a call out this would be a GREAT one to start with.

Vidor, Texas
November 16-30
Feeding college students that are giving up their Thanksgiving break to serve the Lord by cleaning up the homes effect by the hurricane.

Be sure that your background check, ID badge and food handling cards are current.

Any member of a Northwest Baptist Convention church, aged 18 or older, may deploy with us however they must first obtain the required background check, ID badge and essential training in Disaster Relief.

If you are planning on deploying with Northwest Baptist Disaster Relief, please review our Prepare to Serve page .  There you will also find  forms you will need such as the required release and indemnity form, medical form, the church membership verification form, and a handy list of what you should pack when deployed. Note: All volunteers are to provide their own medical insurance.

If you have not yet been trained, there may be training opportunities before deploying.   If you are interested, please contact your regional coordinator.
