Disaster Relief Training
Pathway Church Sandy, Oregon is hosting a Disaster Relief training for people that need to re-certify their IBSDR training, and for those interested in becoming Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Volunteers. This training is required every three years for all Southern Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers. We are also doing the Disaster Assessment training. Assessment is the one of the most basic skill sets likely to be used in a call-out so we are teaching those 2 classes back-to-back in one evening for your convenience.
Class Descriptions:
INVOLVING SOUTHERN BAPTISTS IN DISASTER RELIEF (ISBDR) – Required basic training for all volunteers. Will give attendees an understanding of how Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is organized to bring help and hope to people affected by a disaster.
ASSESSMENT – This class will explain the organization, deployment, work and ministry of the Damage Assessment Team. The class prepares you to look and assess damage, fill out the proper forms, and to see and understand the spiritual needs of the victim. Based on this team’s assessments then other DR teams may be deployed.
